Cesario, student receive grant for SLE study

Sandra Cesario (nursing, Houston) and Jacqueline Broadway-Duren (DNP to PhD bridge student) were awarded a $25,000 grant from The Silver Lining Foundation for their project, “The Lived Experiences of Women on Their Journey to Diagnosis of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus.” The purpose of the descriptive phenomenological study is to gain an in-depth understanding of the experiences that women encounter while in search of an SLE diagnosis and the perceived influences on their health outcome.
