Walton named initial Director of New Student Programs

Josh Walton has agreed to head the new Department of New Student Programs as a part of the newly reestablished Division of Enrollment Management.

As of Nov. 1, 2023, Walton takes over the department that will oversee events and programs focused on incoming students from the day they are sent their acceptance letters until the first week of school. This includes familiar events such as Student Orientation, Pioneer Camp and Maroon Madness as well as many other new events that will be announced soon.

Walton will also oversee the Academic Testing Center to ensure that incoming students are college ready as they arrive to TWU. The Department of New Student Programs will assist.
