Diana Elrod, PhD, has been named the inaugural Coordinator of STEM Activities at TWU. Elrod, who is the Director for Student Research, will lead efforts to enhance STEM education and research across the university, catalyzing collaboration, innovation, and excellence in STEM fields at TWU. This new position was created to advance STEM initiatives aligning with the strategic plan.

Elrod's responsibilities as STEM Coordinator include:

• Coordinating STEM activities internally at all levels of the institution
• Ensuring STEM initiatives align with TWU's Strategic Plan
• Pursuing external partnerships and funding opportunities
• Serving as a connector and facilitator for various STEM outreach efforts
• Raising awareness of TWU as a leader in STEM education
