Alyssa Flores was appointed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott as student regent for Texas Woman's University, effective June 1, 2025, for terms set to expire on May 31, 2026.
Flores, a native of Fort Worth, received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from TWU. She is pursuing a Doctor of Physical Therapy and is part of the first cohort on the Denton campus. She was a member of the team of kinesiology students that placed third in the statewide NASA-sponsored Texas Space Grant Consortium Design Challenge Showcase.
