Mark your calendars! Welcome Week is coming Aug. 16-20.

Fall 2021 classes begin Monday, Aug. 23, but before that, there’s a week of preparation with a bit of fun thrown in for good measure.

The event will kick off at 8:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 16, with Breakfast on Pioneer Circle, followed by:

• Fall Assembly – 10 a.m.
• Faculty Development Luncheon – Noon
• College meetings – 2-4 p.m. (to be announced by deans)
• Faculty Senate Ice Cream Social – 4:15 p.m.

Other scheduled events include:

• Teaching and Learning Symposium – Aug. 16-19
• Academic component meetings – Tuesday, Aug. 17
• New Faculty Orientation – Wednesday, Aug. 18
• First-Year Convocation – 9 a.m., Friday, Aug. 20

Student Life will introduce the pet therapy program for faculty, and marketing & communication will offer headshot sessions during Welcome Week.

More information on events will be provided closer to the start of the fall semester.
