Officials with the Denton County Board of Elections will conduct voter deputy registrar training 3:30-5 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 26, in room 101 of the Blagg-Huey Library.
Volunteer deputy registrars help register eligible citizens to vote by distributing, reviewing and accepting completed voter registration applications. They serve two-year terms, with terms expiring Dec. 31 of even-numbered years.
If you’re interested in serving as a volunteer deputy registrar, complete the registration form by noon, Monday, Aug. 23. Students also are encouraged to register.
