Volunteers needed for fall kickoff events

The kickoff to fall 2022 is just around the corner, and the Texas Woman’s Denton campus will host special events to welcome students to campus. Volunteers are needed to help get the year started right.

Move-in Volunteers

Many slots already have been filled, but openings remain for:

Volunteers will work two-hour shifts and will receive a free volunteer T-shirt and swag.

Block Party Volunteers

The Block Party will take place 5-8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 26, in the TWU Gardens. All volunteers will receive a food wristband to use at the event as well as a Block Party themed shirt.

Commuter Welcome Week Volunteers

Help staff the “Ask me” station to answer commuter questions. Volunteers are needed to welcome commuters, provide parking and classroom directions and tell commuters about the new parking rules.

Volunteers will be placed in one of the busiest lots throughout campus. (You’ll be notified about your placement closer to your volunteer date/time.)

Volunteers will work one-hour shifts, 8:30-9:30 a.m. or 9:30-10:30 a.m., Aug. 29-Sept. 1. CARE office staff will support volunteers and provide updates at the beginning of each shift. Volunteers are asked to provide their cell phone number so they can be contacted with any last-minute changes.
