Thanks to suggestions provided by faculty and staff for past commencements, Academic Affairs and Marketing & Communication have gathered stories about students to be included in the chancellor’s speech at each ceremony. These stories also were used to promote the university and the ceremonies themselves in the media, on the Texas Woman’s website, and through social media.

Stories are now sought for the May 2022 commencement.

If you have a wonderful story to share about a May graduate – accomplishments, success despite obstacles, connection to our strategic plan (i.e., veterans), etc. – email twunews@twu.edu with the student’s name, email address, as well as a sentence or two about what makes this student stand out. Nominations are needed by Friday, March 25.

Marketing & Communication will review the information submitted and will contact those to be featured. You do not need to contact the student ahead of time.
