Student stories sought for commencement

It’s not too early to think about fall commencement — December will be here before you know it!

At each commencement ceremony, Chancellor Carine Feyten highlights graduates who represent the many stories of the graduating class. Faculty and staff nominate students with compelling stories to be featured during the ceremonies. Some of these stories are featured in the media, on the Texas Woman’s website, and through social media.

If you know students participating in the December commencement who have compelling stories, nominate them to be featured! These could include students with outstanding accomplishments; who have overcome obstacles; veterans; and more.

Complete the nomination form to provide the student’s name, email, major, and a brief statement of why the student should be featured. Marketing & Communication will contact the graduates chosen to be featured.

A variety of majors and degree levels are sought for each ceremony. Nominations are due by Friday, Oct. 27.
