Student Life to introduce Pioneer Pet Therapy Program

Meet the inaugural class of TWU’s Pioneer Pet Therapy Program! Some loveable fur babies will welcome faculty and staff back to campus 3-4 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 18, in the Blagg-Huey Library Living Room.

Student Life announced the new program in the spring as an opportunity for TWU employees to become certified with their dog to volunteer in the program. Officials believe the program will provide a new way for dog owners to bond with their pets, meet fellow dog lovers, and help our students reduce stress and anxiety as well as ease feelings of loneliness and depression.
