Women from the fields of politics, journalism and more have been announced as speakers for the “Leading the Lone Star State: Texas Women in Public Service” summit.
The summit, hosted by the Jane Nelson Institute for Women’s Leadership, will take place Thursday, Oct. 12 at the Denton Convention Center. Registration is $150.
Featured speakers are:
- Val Demings, former Florida congresswoman
- Ambassador Kay Bailey Hutchison, former U.S. permanent representative to NATO and former U.S. senator from Texas
- Lisa Ling, Emmy Award-winning journalist
- Ana Navarro, political analyst, panelist on “The View”
- Jane Nelson, Texas Secretary of State
- Symone Sanders-Townsend, host of SYMONE on MSNBC
