Update, 3:42 p.m., Wednesday, July 15 — The City of Denton has notified the university that the repair is complete.

The City of Denton will repair a water main leak on the Denton campus beginning Wednesday, July 15. The work will require closure of the northbound lane of Bell Avenue between the intersection of U.S. Highway 380 (University Drive) and Chapel Drive. Follow directional signage provided by the city and exercise caution in this area.

The work also will affect the following buildings:

• Multipurpose Classroom Laboratory (MCL)
• Jones Hall (JH)
• Classroom Faculty Offices (CFO)
• Old Main Building (OMB)
• Stoddard Hall (SH)
• Parliament Village (All Dorms) 
• Dining Hall
• Dance Gymnastics Laboratory (DGL)
• Stark Hall (STH)
• Guinn Hall (GH)
• Blagg-Huey Library (BHL)
• Fitness and Recreation Center (FRC)
• University Advancement (UA)          
• Pioneer Hall (PH)
• University House (UH)
• Alumni House (AH)
• Little Chapel in the Woods (LC)

Facilities Management & Construction recommends closing these buildings for the duration of the work. Employees assigned to an affected buidling should make arrangements with their supervisor to telecommute if possible.
