Help celebrate Earth Day by recycling lithium batteries! TWU’s Build Well component of the Health & Well Being Initiative is collaborating with the Pilot Knob Rotary Club to collect old rechargeable batteries. These are lithium and nickel hydride batteries found in cell phones, laptops, tablets, power tools, electric toothbrushes, wireless headphones, vaping devices, and other rechargeable electronics.
A donation box is located on the first floor of the Student Union at Hubbard Hall, near the stairs. (The first floor is where the food vendors are located.) Lithium batteries and nickel hydride batteries will be accepted through Saturday, April 22. Place each individual battery inside the pink non-static plastic baggie and seal it. Place the pink baggie inside the cardboard collection box.
