Pioneer Pride dance team to host Kid's Clinic

A day of fun — including a halftime performance opportunity — awaits the young dancer in your family, as TWU’s Pioneer Pride dance team hosts a Kid’s Clinic, 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Jan. 29. Participants have the option of performing during halftime of the TWU Basketball game that begins at 2 p.m.

The clinic is open to children from age 4 to eighth grade, and will be led by head coach Allison Fields and current Pioneer Pride dancers.

“We are thrilled to bring a new opportunity to our community,” Fields said. “Pioneer Pride has several dancers with teaching experience who are excited to build up a new generation of dancers. We hope this helps us to build a strong bond with our community.”

During the clinic, participants will have the opportunity to learn basic dance movements and game day cheers. They’ll also learn a full dance routine, with the option of performing the routine during halftime of the Pioneers basketball game against West Texas A&M, which begins at 2 p.m.

Cost of the clinic is $30, and registration is required. Participants who register before Friday, Jan. 14, will receive a T-shirt. A $10 late fee will be added for registrations submitted after Jan. 14. Visit the TWU Athletics website for registration and additional information.
