Student Life plans to launch the TWU Pioneer Pet Therapy Program in fall 2021. Any permanent full- or part-time employee on the Denton campus interested in becoming certified with your dog to volunteer in the program is invited to learn more.

An information session on the program will take place 1-2 p.m., Friday, April 30, via Zoom. The meeting will provide:

• Information about the purpose and vision for the program
• Program requirements and associated costs
• The timeline for certification and training

Student Life officials believe this volunteer opportunity will provide a new way for dog owners to bond with their pets, meet fellow dog lovers, and help TWU students reduce stress and anxiety, ease feelings of loneliness and depression, and take part in social interaction.
