OER Course Redesign Mini-Grant applications open

If you’re interested in transitioning your course(s) to free learning materials but need support to do it, consider applying for an Open Educational Resources (OER) Course Redesign Mini-Grant.

OER are commonly used as alternatives to expensive textbooks by providing students with high quality course readings at no cost. Examples of OER used by Texas Woman’s faculty include:

  • Textbooks
  • Canvas modules
  • Lab manuals
  • Workbooks
  • Slide decks

Mini-grants of $1,000 (less withholding) are available to develop, adopt, or adapt OER for your courses. A total of 18 mini-grants are available for instructors at all campuses for the 2022 funding cycle. No experience with OER is necessary to apply. Applications are due by Feb. 28.

Visit OER Course Redesign Mini-Grants on the TWU Libraries website for additional information and the application. Contact Amanda Zerangue at azerangue@twu.edu if you have questions.
