Nominations open for student commencement stories

Nominations are open for students participating in the December commencement who have outstanding accomplishments, success despite obstacles, connection to the TWU strategic plan (e.g., veterans, women in leadership), or another remarkable story.

Faculty and staff who know a graduate who might be a good feature should complete this brief form to provide the name, email, major, and a sentence or two telling why the student should be featured.

At each commencement ceremony, the chancellor highlights several graduates representing the graduating class's many stories. The graduates are nominated by faculty and staff who know their stories well. The stories are also used to promote the university and the ceremonies in the media, on the Texas Woman's website, and through social media.

Faculty and staff do not need to contact the student ahead of time. Nominations will be reviewed, and the Marketing & Communications staff will contact graduates to be featured.

Nominations are due Wednesday, October 30.
