MCL roof replacement underway

Replacement of the roofs at the Multi-purpose Classroom Laboratory (MCL) building should be complete by the end of March, if not sooner. A portion of the asphalt parking lot north of the building is fenced off for use by the contractor.

The project will include removal of the existing roof systems and installation of new roof systems and upgrade to the lighting protection on the upper roofs. All lifting to and from the low roof will be done with a skytrack on the north side of the building.  All lifting to and from the high roofs will be done with a crane from the paved parking lot at the southeast corner of the building.

For your safety, do not enter the fenced area. Please be observant when walking, driving golf carts or driving vehicles in this area.

Contact Donald Strickland, director of construction services, if you have any questions or concerns about the project.
