Instructors are needed for UNIV 1231, TWU’s first-year seminar that provides an opportunity for students to identify their individual learning styles and develop the skills necessary to learn and succeed in their academic program.
Courses will meet one day a week in the fall. This is a paid position for instructors ($1,000 per course), but is in addition to your normal workload. A master’s degree is required.
Multiple opportunities for UNIV training are available:
Canvas training is scheduled Friday, June 26, and Thursday, Aug 13. If you’re new to Canvas, you’ll want to attend this training as well as a course training.
Course training is offered Friday, July 17, and Friday, Aug. 14. Course training is required even if you attended Canvas training. RSVP invitations and availability confirmation surveys will be sent out at a later date.
The UNIV 1231 Instructor Application is now online. You will be prompted to log in with your TWU credentials and once you complete the application you should receive an email confirming the submission.
The FYE Ambassador application also is. This is a paid position for students ($300 per semester).
