Rita DelloStritto
(nursing) has been named a Silver Medal winner for Excellence in Nursing by the
Good Samaritan Foundation
. DelloStritto was one of only six Silver Medal winners in Houston and the surrounding area and will be recognized at the awards luncheon Sept. 5.

were selected by the
World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Nursing Care for Vulnerable Groups
as visiting international scholars at
Shandong University, School of Nursing, Jinan, China
, from May 27 through June 15. Liu and McFarlane are co-leading an international collaborative research effort on the Lived Experiences of Family Members who offer end-of-life care in the home. The research is funded by a TWU research grant and a Sigma Theta Tau International, Beta Beta Chapter research grant.

(nutrition and food sciences) presented a poster, "Effect of Supplementation of Pumpkin Seed Oil Versus Pumpkin Seeds on Blood Pressure and Menopausal Symptoms in Normotensive Postmenopausal Women" at the
American Society of Nutrition Annual meetings
June 11 in Boston.

presented at the ER Nursing Workshop at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy May 28 at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The workshops presented were the first of their kind to be undertaken by the ER nurses and social workers in Vietnam.
