Theresa Smith
(occupational therapy) will present her study, “Stroke Survivor and Caregiver Perspectives on Post-stroke Visual Concerns and Consequences: A Qualitative Study,” at the
2018 AOTA (American Occupational Therapy Association) Annual Conference and Expo
April 19-22 in Salt Lake City.
More than 120 faculty, staff and students (plus a visitor or two) signed releases and received dog therapy Monday, April 16, from Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs of Houston. The event was co-sponsored by the Houston Academic Resource Center (ARC) and the Office of Student Life. Not only was the event therapeutic for students, it also was an opportunity to learn more about the benefits of pet therapy for patients.
