  • Congratulations to Peggy Gleeson (physical therapy) who received the Award for Leadership in Education from the Academy of Physical Therapy Education during the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) conference last week in Washington D.C. This is the highest honor given by APTE.
  • Jennifer Bogardus (physical therapy) was also recognized during the APTA conference. She was awarded an “Adopt-A-Doc” scholarship for Ph.D. students demonstrating research that is meaningful to the profession of physical therapy.
  • Sandra Cesario (nursing) was elected to two new community boards this month including the Board of Governors of the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and the Board of Directors of the Healthcare & Nursing Education Foundation.
  • Roland Love (DPS) was awarded the Department of Public Safety’s Employee of the Year for 2018.
  • Headshots! Headshots! Headshots! Last opportunity for the 2018-2019 academic year to have a professional headshot taken on campus is Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 6 and 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in room 4330. No appointment necessary.
  • Five TWU nursing faculty members attended the American Association of Colleges of Nursing doctoral education conference in San Diego last week including Houston faculty Sandra Cesario, Nina Fredland, and Peggy Landrum and Denton faculty Peggy Mancuso and Linda Roussel.
