  • The Houston Academic Resource Center (library facility) is celebrating Banned Book Week displaying lists of books banned in the United States in the last 100 years. Many of these books are owned by and available for loan through TWU Libraries. Prepared by Denton TWU librarian Jimmie Lyn Harris, the Banned Books list includes “1984,” “Beloved,” “To Kill a Mockingbird” and more. While at the Academic Resource Center, why not pick up a Texas Voter Registration Application, enjoy the Hispanic Heritage Month display and donate to the State Employees Charitable Campaign? The center is located in room 4132. Questions? Call x2048.
  • Faculty Ombudsperson Linda Rubin will visit the Houston campus Thursday, Sept. 26. The Harper Room on the 10th floor will serve as her office. Drop by or contact her for an appointment at lrubin@twu.edu or 81-2605.
  • Mindy Patterson (nutrition & food sciences) co-wrote “Accuracy of Water Delivery in Enteral Nutrition Pumps” with TWU alumni Erin J. Bertagnolli and Anne Utech, as well as Renee N. Walker. The article recently was published in Nutrition in Clinical Practice.
