Several Houston nursing faculty presented at the Sigma Theta Tau International Research Congress, held July 25-29 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Oral presentations included Wyona Freysteinson, “Embodied Shame: Body Image of Woman Veterans who have suffered Military Sexual Trauma;” Vi Ho, “The Effectiveness of an Educational Intervention in Breast Cancer in a Group of Vietnamese American Women;” Leslie Nelson, Paula Clutter and Vi Ho, “The Impact of Lecture Capture in the Undergraduate Classroom: Nursing Student Voices; and Rebecca Aulbach, “Reflections of Student Nurses with Managing a Clinical Crisis: Sim-IPE,” (co-authors Rita Dello Stritto and Peggy Landrum). Brenda Moore presented a poster, “Middle Eastern Nursing Students: Recommendations for Recruitment and Retention.” Chin-Nu Lin (Dallas) also presented a poster, “Generation Z’s Perception and Vision of ‘Happiness’: An Innovative Practice of Mental Health Well-Being.”
