Two Therapy Dogs from Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs of Houston visited with more than 100 faculty, staff, and students on campus Monday, Dec. 2. Co-sponsored by the Houston Office of Student Life and the Houston Academic Resource Center, the volunteer group’s purpose is to provide animal assisted therapy in hospitals, recovery facilities, schools, nursing homes and other facilities. Besides providing a much-appreciated break, the animal assisted therapy teams provided insight into the application of therapy animals in the health care setting.
