Join the Office of Diversity, Inclusion & Outreach and the Delta Delta Chapter of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc., from 6-7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 9, for a discussion on the importance of voting for Black and Latinx communities.
The virtual program will be an introduction to voter disenfranchisement and suppression. Panelists will share their experiences with voting, why they vote and encourage you to vote in upcoming elections. The panel will feature TWU and Denton County community members, with the goal of encouraging the TWU community to get registered and vote.
Register in advance via Pioneer Engage and Zoom. Sign in to Pioneer Engage and follow the online location link to register for the event. The meeting link to join then will be emailed to you via Zoom.
