Texas Woman’s University is a member of the Women’s College Coalition, an organization whose mission is to transform the world through the education and success of women and girls. Among the benefits of membership are opportunities for collaboration and conversation on topics of special interest to women’s colleges.
One such opportunity is scheduled Thursday, Nov. 19, and TWU staff members are among the presenters.
The WCC Professional Networking Series: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Best Practices is scheduled for 3 p.m. CST, Thursday, Nov. 19. The webinar is free, but attendees are asked to register.
The one-hour webinar will provide diversity, equity and inclusion leaders and administrators with an opportunity to connect to discuss best practices and share innovative programming in the areas of diversity and inclusion. Among the presenters are Becky Rodriguez and Simone Daniels (Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Outreach), who will highlight TWU’s signature programs and how the office is adapting to the challenging times. DIO team member Ebony Pope also will attend the webinar.
During the second part of the webinar, participants will meet in small breakout sessions for moderated conversations about prearranged and timely topics regarding antiracism and social justice work.
