  • The beginning of a new semester brings many things, including a need for volunteers at information tables Aug. 27-30. These volunteers welcome students to campus and answer any questions they may have, such where their class is located, where the computer lab is, etc. Sign up for a slot or two (or more) today! Contact Nora Sierra if you have any questions. If your department has handouts for a student service, please deliver them to ACT 12 no later than Wednesday, Aug. 22.

  • Texas Woman’s University will participate in the Denton Heart Walk on Saturday, Sept. 8, united as a single TWU team under the growing Health and Wellbeing Initiative. The university’s goal is to engage at least 100 walkers and raise $2,500. You don’t have to raise funds to participate; team organizers are hoping for their biggest turn out ever aligned with the formal launch of the Health and Wellbeing Initiative at TWU this fall. Register under the team “TWU Health and Wellbeing Initiative” on the Denton Heart Walk website. Contact Jessi Harbor at x3413 for more information.
