  • 2020 Texas Poet Laureate Emmy Pérez comes to TWU Wednesday, Nov. 13, to lead a discussion and workshop focused on social justice poetry (2:30-4 p.m., ACT 301). Then, at 7 p.m., she will read a selection of her poems.
  • The Department of Visual Arts and Delta Phi Delta Arts Honor Society present the 37th Annual Italian Night, 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 14, in the Fine Arts Building foyer. Come for Italian food, film and live music. Tickets can be purchased in advance online ($10), in person from Katelyn Garst (rgarst@twu.edu) or at the door ($15).
  • All are invited to this semester’s Multicultural Graduation Celebration on Friday, Nov. 8. Four ceremonies will celebrate diversity and highlight student accomplishments: People of Nia Celebration (Kente Stole) – 9 a.m. MCL 101; Lavender Celebration (Lavender Stole) – 11 a.m., CFO 204; Multicultural Celebration (Multicultural Stole) – 1 p.m., CFO 204; La Raza Celebration (Serape Stole) – 3 p.m., MCL 101.
