  • The Department of Visual Arts invites you to a Movie Night with the Denton Black Film Festival beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29 in room 101 of the Fine Arts Building. Catch some of the top films screened at DBFF festivals. Movie Night is free for TWU faculty, staff and students. Save the date for the festival: Jan. 23-27, 2019.
  • Student Life needs volunteers for Finals Feast, scheduled 9-11 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3 in the Student Union. Help serve food and welcome students into the building; in return, you get a Finals Feast T-shirt and two free meals in the Underground.   • Michelle Barton-Nielsen (Student Health Services) served as a voting delegate representing area family physicians Nov. 9 at the Texas Academy of Family Physicians Primary Care Summit to elect TAFP officers for 2019.
  • Ronald Davis (kinesiology) presented at the National Adaptive Sports USA Conference Nov. 7-10 in Phoenix. Davis spoke on “Exploring Relationships Between Academics and Practitioners: Panel presentation to address research, program development, and service for adaptive sports programs in the USA.”
