Don’t forget to get your ghoul on! The annual
Staff Halloween Costume Contest
is happening today in the Stoddard Hall lobby. Refreshments and contestant registration starts at 9:30 a.m., with the contest at 10 a.m. Prizes will be awarded for first- and second-place individual costume and first place for best group/department costumes.
There’s a lot of excitement in the music department over the inaugural performance on a
newly restored 1960 Mason & Hamlin
model CC concert grand piano.
Richard Shuster
(music) will present a recital of solo piano works at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5 in the MCL Auditorium. The recital is free and open to the public. Shuster said these American-made 9-foot pianos are rather rare and unique, adding the piano “allows me to express absolutely everything I want to say through the music.”

(Education Abroad) will serve as executive director of international affairs and will oversee the Office of International Affairs. The office is responsible for programming for TWU’s international students, Education Abroad programs, visiting international research scholars and global education efforts at TWU.

(technology) participated in a site visit at Methodist College in Peoria, Illinois, in her role as Division II vice president for the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi after the college petitioned the society to establish a chapter. A site visit includes a set of interviews with key leaders in academics, student support, marketing and alumni relations.

(teacher education) have been invited to present at the Shanghai International STEM Educational Products Fair 2018 Dec. 7-9. Their presentation, "Incorporating Next Generation Learning in Classrooms with Students with Special Needs," will be a part of this international conference. They were specifically asked to address this topic because of the work they've completed in the TWU Future Classroom Laboratory. Conference organizers expect an attendance of 35,000 people.
