  • The university community is invited to a retirement celebration and reception for Jerry Dawson (music) at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25 in the Margo Jones Performance Hall. (Dawson's retirement was the subject of a recent Denton Record-Chronicle story.)
  • Mark your calendars! If you haven't had your official university photograph taken yet, now's your chance. Spring head shots are scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Feb. 13 and 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14 in the ACT 2 lobby.
  • The Center for Women in Business welcomed Disney’s Approach to Quality Service on Jan. 11, with 131 guests attending the professional development course presented by Disney Institute at the new Embassy Suites Denton Convention Center. Following the program, 85 Mickey/Minnie balloons used to decorate the event were presented to TWU alumna Jennifer Livings, LPC-S Vice President and her team at Cumberland Presbyterian Children’s Home to distribute to the children at the home.
  • Sarah Gamblin (dance) has joined the renowned Bebe Miller Company for a 2017-18 national performance tour. Gamblin will continue to teach and serve TWU full time while performing in the evening length work  “In a Rhythm,” directed and choreographed by Bebe Miller in collaboration with the dancers. Her participation in this multi-year, national dance making project was made possible in part through the 2016-17 TWU Faculty Development Leave program.
