  • Nutrition and Food Sciences will host a retirement reception for Nancy DiMarco 2-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, in the ACT second-floor lobby. Light refreshments will be provided.
  • It’s that time of year again! Volunteers are needed for Fall Information Tables. Sign up for a session or two (or more) and be that friendly face that welcomes students to the campus and helps them find their class, the nearest restroom or the snack machine. Sign up today! If you have information for a student service your department would like to hand out at the tables, deliver 100 copies to ACT 12 no later than Wednesday, Aug. 21.   • The TWU Libraries welcomed 155 library professionals from across the region to the Cross Timbers Library Collective’s 2019 conference held Aug. 2 in the Blagg-Huey Library. The event featured more than 60 presenters and more than 25 individual sessions on topics valuable to librarians, archivists and other library professionals. It was TWU’s third year to host the annual conference.
  • Celia Lo (sociology) co-authored “Physical intimate partner violence: Factors related to women’s contact with police,” which will be published in a forthcoming issue of the Journal of Comparative Family Studies.
