During the Denton Arts & Jazz Festival, April 26-28,
TWU Athletics and G-Force
will staff the Oakland Complex garage's second, third and fourth levels as a fundraiser for their organizations. Parking for festival goers will be $20 per car, cash only. Fees will be charged 5-9:30 p.m.on Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. The garage will be available for reserved garage parking permit holders all weekend; all other TWU parking permit holders will be asked to pay or park elsewhere on campus.
The Department of Teacher Education will host a retirement reception for
Jane Pemberton
1-2 p.m., Thursday, May 2, in the
Stoddard Hall
lobby.
The Department of Music will host a retirement reception for
Lori Richman
1:30-2:30 p.m., Thursday, May 2, in the
Music Building
lobby.
The School of Health Promotion and Kinesiology will host an outdoor retirement reception for
Lisa Silliman-French
4:30-6 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, at the
Bernice Abreo Fischer Amphitheater
. Games and light refreshments are on the agenda.
The
Dance UpClose Concert Series
is scheduled 4-6 p.m., Thursday, April 25, and 7-9 p.m., Friday and Saturday, April 26-27. All performances will take place in the
Dance-Gymnastics Laboratory Building
. Tickets for all three are $10 general admission, $5 for students.
Spring 2019 is coming to a close, and in keeping with a TWU tradition, Student Life will host
Finals Feast
8-10 p.m., Monday, April 29, from the amphitheater to inside the library. Volunteers are needed to serve food and welcome students into the event and building during this time. Faculty and staff who are new volunteers will receive a Finals Fest T-shirt. Those who volunteered in Fall 2018 who have a shirt, please wear it! All volunteers will receive two complimentary meals in either the Underground or the Oakland Café, which opens in June. To reserve your space as a volunteer, please RSVP to Jennifer Mulkey at
