recently was recognized as a
Circle of Excellence Platinum
Chapter, the highest commendation a chapter can receive from the organization. The award is given to chapters that exceed expectations in chapter operations and demonstrate sustainability and vitality.

(teacher education) is the current chapter president.

(teacher education) is now a reviewer for
Korean Society of Life Long Education and Welfare for People with Disabilities.
Jessica Gullion
(sociology) has been awarded honorable mention for her book,
Diffractive Ethnography
, by the 15
th
International Congress of Qualitative Inquiry. The Qualitative Book Award is given annually to a member of the qualitative and ethnographic community who has published the English-language book that best represents an important contribution to qualitative inquiry.
Jennifer Woo
(nursing) recently received two bits of good news: She will be inducted into the
American College of Nurse-Midwives
in May, and was accepted into the very competitive
National Institute of Nursing Research Summer Genetics Institute
scheduled June 3-28 at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
