  • The Center for Women in Business and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs will host a seminar on resources and strategies to promote innovative ideas and research from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14 in room 111 of the Student Union. The focus of the seminar is to discuss TWU resources available to assist in the promotion of your innovation and research to external organizations including industry and funding agencies. Registration is required.
  • The TWU Theatre Program opens the Spring 2019 semester with Emilie: La Marquise de Chรขtelet Defends Her Life Tonight Feb. 13-17 in the Redbud Theater Complex. Show times and ticket information are available online.
  • If you need an official university head shot, mark your calendars! Photographs will be taken in the ACT second-floor lobby from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27 and 1-5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28. No appointment is necessary.
  • Becky Spencer (nursing), Amy O’Keefe (Campus Alliance for Resource Education) and Angela Cagle (human resources) will present “Creating a Community of Breastfeeding Support at Texas Woman's University” at the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing — Healthy Work Environments Conference in Feb. 22 in New Orleans.
  • Amy O’Keefe (CARE) gave the keynote address, “Serving Invisible Students — Providing Resources to Meet College Students’ Basic Needs,” at the North Texas Community College Consortium Spring Leadership Conference Jan. 25 at the Collin College Plano Campus.  Jessica Burchfield (CARE) led a break out session.
  • Parrish Nichols (kinesiology) has accepted an invitation to present the keynote address at the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Academic Leadership Council meeting April 2 in New Orleans.
