Centuries of recipes stir up creativity

Perhaps at no other time of the year does the holiday season intersect with food in such a profound and prolonged way as it does from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day. For TWU faculty, staff and students looking for some culinary inspiration, it’s a lot closer than you might think. TWU is home to one of the country’s largest cookbook collections, with just a shade under 30,000 volumes. The collection features cookbooks dating as far back as the 1600s and from countries all over the world. The collection was featured recently in TV news segments on NBC 5 and CBS Texas, as well as in the Denton Record-Chronicle.
