TWU’s Center for Women in Politics and Public Policy will host a free, one-day virtual seminar 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Friday, Sept. 17. The seminar, which is open to the public, is hosted with PLEN (the Public Leadership Education Network) to bring policy analysts, experts, state legislators, and researchers together to cover topics that are important to Texas.
This year’s theme is health equity, with workshops and panels covering:
- Medicaid expansion
- Maternal mortality
- Holistic health
- Human trafficking
- Issues in LGBTQ+ care
