"Boo at the U" looking for candy donations

With Boo at the U a week away, TWU asks that you consider grabbing a bag of candy to donate towards this event. Each year, Boo at the U brings in thousands of participants from the Denton community to enjoy a memorable Halloween-spirited night. This year, Boo at the U takes place from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 17.

In previous years, the TWU community has helped by providing candy for the many volunteers to pass treats out to the attendees. Any contribution is appreciated, and donations can be dropped off at the Information Desk in the Student Union at Hubbard Hall.  You can also call the office at 940-898-3641 to organize a pick up for your donations.

The activities this year include inflatables, a mechanical pumpkin ride, carnival games, trick-or-treating, Build a Boo Buddy, a haunted maze, and a costume contest with spooktacular TWU prizes.

TWU is also partnering with Minerva’s Market to collect donations during the event for the free on-campus food pantry. The food pantry is intended to fill the gap for students experiencing food insecurity and this is a great opportunity to support.
