Join the Office of Alumni Engagement at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 3, for the next installment of the TESSTalk Series.
Cynthia Nevels ’96, a TWU alumna and owner of the Dallas-based organic vegan fast-food company Soulgood, is the speaker for this virtual discussion. When Nevels launched Soulgood in 2016 at the Dallas Farmer’s Market, it was the first organic vegan and vegetarian fast-food truck in North Texas.
Soulgood has since gained recognition nationally for one-of-a-kind recipes. Nevels has catered for celebrities such as Billie Eilish and Stella McCartney and serviced venues including AT&T Stadium. In February, she partnered with Chartwells Higher Ed to establish Soulgood’s first physical location on TWU’s Denton campus.

This is a free virtual event. Registration ends Aug. 2.
TESSTalk is a speaker series featuring TWU alumni, faculty and staff who share their perspectives on leadership, professional journeys and personal adventures. Each session includes a brief Q&A. The program is named in honor of the former nickname for TWU students – Tessie.
