Margaret Cinque endowment to benefit fashion & textiles

The TWU Department of Fashion and Textiles is receiving a new endowment thanks to a planned gift created by the family of Margaret Cinque.

Known for her creative flair and artistic ability, Margaret Cinque graduated from TWU in 1950 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Design-Fashion Illustrating.

After marrying Jack Cinque in 1954, the couple lived around the world and raised four children. A Texas native, Mrs. Cinque spent the last 25 years of her life in Missouri City before passing away in 2009. Her family has established a bequest through a charitable remainder trust that will benefit the TWU Department of Fashion and Textiles.

This new endowment will provide funds to be used at the discretion of the program director and the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Texas Woman’s is grateful to the Cinque family for creating this endowment in memory of Mrs. Margaret Cinque. It is an honor to have her legacy live on at TWU.
