Celebrating Homecoming, Alumni Achievement Awards

The weekend of April 21–22 TWU alumni and friends returned to the Denton campus for Homecoming. At the All-Class Reunion Dinner on Friday night, the Class of 1973 celebrated their golden 50th anniversary, the Class of 1998 celebrated their silver 25th, and all attendees caught up with old friends and reminisced on favorite memories of their alma mater. Several other organizations held reunions or recognized milestones, such as the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. 50th anniversary and the Violets and Pearls Social, among others. Alumni returned on Saturday for Breakfast with the Chancellor, where Dr. Feyten shared university highlights.

Homecoming weekend included the Alumni Achievement Awards Luncheon, where five exceptional alumni and friends of the university were honored for their professional successes and contributions to their communities. This year’s recipients were Chief U.S. District Judge Alia Moses ‘83; Carol Ireton-Jones, PhD ‘82, ‘88; Dianne Randolph ‘69, ‘71; Tiana James ‘14; and the Dallas and Fort Worth chapters of Empowering Women as Leaders. We thank these outstanding recipients for their significance to our community and for exemplifying the values of TWU in their professional lives.
