Chancellor Carine M. Feyten and Ambassador Chad Wick welcomed alumni, regents and Texas state representatives to a Feb. 13 reception at the Headliners Club in Austin. The highlight of the evening was a “Boldly Go” presentation by Dr. Feyten about the exciting future at TWU.
Dr. Charlotte Scott, Class of 1949, was welcomed as the oldest alumna in attendance. TWU Mascot Oakley stopped by for a visit, and attendees delighted in this photo opportunity. Craig Hester and Scott Nuendorf from Luther King Capital Management practiced their TWU sign with Oakley and Dr. Feyten, and State Rep. Lynn Stuckey stopped by for a photo. One alumna brought a gift of her TWU memorial plate to present to Dr. Feyten, including a spoon said she “borrowed” from the dining hall when she was a student many years ago.
We appreciate the sponsorship of Luther King Capital Management for this event and look forward to the next stop on the “Boldly Go” tour.
