Cynthia J. Harper ’61, along with her children, has created the Cynthia J. Harper, A. John Harper III and Leslie Harper Sharp Scholarship Endowment that will support an undergraduate or graduate student who demonstrates financial need. 

The scholarship reflects the Harper family's belief in the transformative power of a college education as well as their commitment to building a brighter future for the Texas Woman's University community.

Cynthia J. Harper has always held TWU close to her heart. A business alumna, her passion for education and the values instilled in her during her TWU education inspired her to create this scholarship with her family. Cynthia served on the TWU Foundation Board of Directors from 2002–2014 and her son John has served on the TWU Foundation Board of Directors since 2012 and is currently the board chair.
