Texas Woman’s wants to provide a safe and welcoming environment as students and their families move into university housing. Volunteers are needed during move-in week to help make their transition to college life as smooth as possible.

There are two opportunities to volunteer: Move-in and Block Party.

Move-in

Housing & Dining is seeking volunteers in various residential locations Tuesday, Aug. 22 and Wednesday, Aug. 23. One- and two-hour shifts are available for both move-in days. You have the option to sign up for as many shifts as you like and will receive a free volunteer T-shirt and cool swag.

• Tuesday, Aug. 22 move-in signup covers Parliament Village and Guinn Hall
• Wednesday, Aug. 23 move-in signup covers Stark Hall and Lowry Woods

Block Party

The annual Block Party will take place 5-8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 25, in the TWU Gardens. All who volunteer for the event will receive a food wristband to use at the event as well as a Block Party-themed shirt.
