First JHG Texas Nursing Scholars at TWU

The Johanniter Humanitarian Group (JHG) of Texas has presented a scholarship to its first two JHG Texas Nursing Scholars at TWU. Last week, the two nursing students, Sarah Brown and Alizaeth Peralta Everardo, met with members of the JHG Texas Board of Directors and were presented with special certificates in honor of their achievements as JHG Texas Nursing Scholars. JHG Texas is a humanitarian organization in Texas that is sponsored by the greater international Johanniter community. The Johanniterorden, or Knightly Order of St. John of the Hospital of Jerusalem, is the protestant branch of the Knights Hospitaller and is the oldest charitable organization in existence today. In March, representatives from JHG Texas presented TWU’s College of Nursing with a check to establish a scholarship for nursing students.
