TWU to mark Constitution Day Sept. 17

The U.S. Constitution turns 231 years old on Monday, Sept. 17, and the TWU Libraries will celebrate Constitution Day with events on all three campuses.

The Blagg-Huey Library in Denton will provide Donuts for Democracy (free donuts), voter registration opportunities and more. Screenings of “The Notorious RBG,” a documentary about Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, are scheduled at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. in the library Lecture Hall, room 101. Space is limited. A panel discussion featuring TWU professors of government will immediately follow the afternoon screening, beginning at approximately 4 p.m.The TWU Community is invited to attend Pioneering Politics: How Women Get Involved in Local Politics, a panel discussion with local female politicians. The event will begin at 6 p.m. in ACT 301.

The Dallas and Houston campuses will mark Constitution Day by offering free pocket Constitutions to students while supplies last. Voter registration opportunities also will be available in Houston Academic Resource Center.
