Update on construction projects

Completion of site work in front of Jones Hall has been delayed due to unforeseen issues involving site utilities. The project should be completed in approximately two weeks. Facilities Management and Construction has placed additional signage along the route to the secondary entrance at East Jones Hall and the accessible entrance through the Counseling Center.

Work on Phase 1 of the Multipurpose Classroom & Laboratory (MCL) parking lots was completed ahead of schedule, with Phase II scheduled to begin this week. Phase 1 involved the parking lot on the northwest corner of College and Vine streets, which has reopened with temporary striping. Phase II — the lots at the southwest corner of College and Vine — involves the pouring of concrete, improved drainage and new striping. Questions? A fenced staging area north of Pioneer Hall has been established for the installation of a water line that will connect the P3 Housing Village to a Bell Avenue water line. Access from the parking lot to the Pioneer Hall north entry initially won’t be impacted; however, access will be limited at the Bell Avenue entry at some point. Please be observant when walking or driving a golf cart and do not enter the marked construction area. The water line work will take approximately two weeks to complete.
