• The TWU Community offers its condolences to the family and friends of Lemuel L. LaRue Jr., former TWU vice president of fiscal affairs, who passed away July 19, 2018.
  • The Health and Well-being Initiative will host Coffee with Dr. Kristin Neff at 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31 in Student Union 207. An RSVP is requested by Aug. 27. Neff, an associate professor in the department of educational psychology at the University of Texas at Austin, is a pioneer in the field of self-compassion research, conducting the first empirical study on self-compassion more than a decade ago.
  • Ron Davis (kinesiology) served on the staff for the 2018 Junior Nationals, a national sport championship event for young athletes who have a physical disability and/or visual impairment. The event took place July 21-27 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with more than 200 athletes competing in track and field, power lifting, swimming and more.
  • Thad Mantaro (Student Life) completed the LBJ School's Senior Management Program through the Governor's Center for Management Development.
