• The School of Occupational Therapy hosted its bi-annual Doctoral Research Symposium recently, bringing faculty, post-professional students and alumni to the Dallas campus. Keynote speaker Barbara Schell, PhD, OT/L, FAOTA, discussed professional leadership and service in her keynote address.
  • Heather Roberts (occupational therapy) is a co-author of the recently published paper, "Development of a Pediatric Goal-Centered Upper Limb Spasticity Home Exercise Therapy Program for Use in a Phase-III Trial of Abobotulinumtoxina (Dysport)," in Physical & Occupational Therapy in Pediatrics.

  • Suh-Jen Lin (physical therapy) has been selected as an abstract reviewer for the 2019 Conference of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT). The WCPT represents more than 450,000 physical therapists through 108 member organizations around the world.
  • Dallas Staff Council Liaison Cynthia Alexander and Council members Victoria Campbell, Margaret Ramos and Karen Zapata presented the Dallas campus Facilities Management department with the September Staff Appreciation honor. Department members received gift baskets and recognition for their hard work and dedication. The September award is the first of a new monthly Staff Appreciation program.
  • Rosemarie Jaekel (nursing) accompanied 63 Senior II Community Health Nursing students to the Dallas Hunger Summit on Friday, September 14, 2018. The event gathered community leaders to discuss food insecurity and malnutrition as a public health problem.
  • Under the name "TWU-PT," Suh-Jen Lin (physical therapy) and 45 Grad I DPT students participated in the Dallas Heart Walk on Saturday, Sept. 8. To date, the event has raised more than $5.3 million of its $6.8 million goal.
